Colorguard

    If your looking for an exact definition of colorguard it is "A uniformed group, esp. of soldiers, police officers, or school representatives, who parade or present their institution's flag (and sometimes their national flag) on ceremonial occasions". A JROTC color guard team consists of usally 4 cadets, two cadets carry Flags, two carry rifles. Manteca's Colorguard consists of two rifles(left and right rifle), an american flag, and a california flag. Majority of the time M-1 rifles are used for events and/or practices. Color guard posts the colors (flags) If an event is occuring in which that is needed.

 

Drill

    Drill, also known as squad/platoon with arms consists of a group of people marching in cadence with rifles. Its dictinary definition is "training in marching and the use of weapons". The picture to the right is a example of our own drill team, participating in the annual drill comp at Edison High School. 

 

Marching

    Marching, like the others above, are performed with unity and togetherness,and is ordered and synchronized. Marching is more basic then the others mentioned above. It consists of a squad/platoon that march together and perform basic commands like flanks and columns.

 

Raider

    Raider unlike the other teams is not a marching type team, doesnt consist of commands nd the sort. It is the Physical fitness type team and usally competes in physical chllenges such s an obstacle course or pushup competition.To the right there is people in ACU uniforms that appear to be running.
